4.73.02 - Email Bank Statement Verification

Powered by Finch Technologies

The development team has introduced a new feature that allows clients to conveniently email their bank statements to an AUTHORIZED shared email address.

The benefits of this feature include :

  • No need for physical copies: Clients no longer need to print and carry a hard copy of their bank statement.

  • Enhanced security: Enjoy peace of mind knowing that the document has undergone a series of credibility checks.

  • Automatic digitization: The bank statement is automatically digitized and saved to the client’s profile (referred to as the Client Menu in Mobiloan).

What’s required from the client ?

  • The client is simply required to log into cellphone banking app and generate a bank statement OR have a scanned photo / image of the hard copy bank statement ready to send via email.

  • Once you have a digital copy, email the official bank statement to the shared email address displayed in Mobiloan.

Supported Banks

  • ABSA

  • Capitec

  • FNB

  • Standard Bank

  • Nedbank

  • Tyme Bank

  • EasyPay

Important Notes on EasyPay Banks:

For banks under EasyPay, the bank statement may be encrypted with a password, which will be provided to you within your banking app.

To avoid any errors (such as unauthorized access), simply include the password in the subject line or email body when sending the email. This ensures a seamless process.

How it works ?

See Requesting the emailed statement below for screenshots and instructions.

  1. During the Document Capture step in Mobiloan, select the “Bank Statement By Email” option. Alternatively, you can request an emailed statement in the Client Menu > Documents option.

  2. Request the client to email their bank statement to the authorized shared email address. The shared email address will be displayed within Mobiloan and typically ends with @getmydoc.

  3. In Mobiloan, select the “Bank Statement has been emailed” toggle switch, and thereafter select the "Check Inbox" button, which will listen for the incoming email.

  4. Once received, the bank statement will be transformed into a digitalized version and stored on the client profile.

  5. Proceed with the loan application process.

  6. Later, the bank statement will be available in the Client Menu for future reference. See Accessing a Digital Bank Statement below for screenshots and instructions
