We’re excited to introduce a new feature that makes the retrieval of electronic bank statements possible via email.
Thanks to our third-party integrator, Gathr Bank Statements (powered by Finch Technologies), Clients can now email their bank statement to a specific shared email address provided by the Mobiloan support team (e.g., abcfinance@getmydoc.co.za).
The email address will be displayed within Mobiloan and will typically include your Trade Name followed by @getmydoc.
Request the client to send their digital PDF bank statement to the provided email address. Ensure that their ID number is included as the subject of the email for easy identification.
Once the email is received, Gathr will perform a fraud check on the bank statement and then import the bank transactions onto the client’s profile.
Also - if the pdf contains a scanned image - and the image quality is too poor to determine the validity of the document- Gathr will not accept the bank statement.
Once the fraud test is completed, and the client's bank account is already set up within the system, the statement and bank transactions will be automatically linked to their profile.
You can verify this by navigating to the Client Step of the Origination Workflow. If you’ve correctly added the client’s ID number as the subject of the email, Mobiloan will automatically populate the bank account information in the client’s profile.
